CytoGro® is an EPA-registered hormone bio-stimulant derived from seaweed extracts that blend cytokinins and natural synergists to stimulate root growth and increase the turf’s strength against stress.

Product Description:
CytoGro, cytokinins, and natural synergists stimulate root growth, producing turf that is more resistant to environmental stress caused by drought, disease, insect damage, and temperature extremes. CytoGro aids in the uptake of fertilizers, pesticides, and fungicides, saving time and money as well as helping turf managers become less chemically dependent.

CytoGro has been tested by many renowned turfgrass experts, including Dr. Richard Schmidt, Virginia Polytechnic Institute; Dr. Jack Fry and Dr. Rock Gaussoin, Kansas State University; and Dr. Carlos Blanco-Montero, University of New Mexico.

Application Information:
Apply as a foliar spray in the late afternoon or early morning, with leaves being allowed to dry. It can be applied via a backpack/pump sprayer and watered in, or with a hose-end sprayer. This can be applied at any time during the growing season for cool and warm-season lawns.

**Please note that CytoGro is a highly potent bio-stimulant; therefore, please read product labels and instructions. Too much can be harmful.

This can be used on all grass types, including the following:

  • Cool Season Lawns - Kentucky Bluegrass, Turf Type Tall Fescue (all fescues), Ryegrass.
  • Warm Season Lawns - Bermuda, St Augustine, Zoysia, Centipede, Bahia.
 Coverage 80,000 sq ft at the low rate of 0.4 oz/1,000 sq ft
40,000 sq ft at the high rate of 0.8 oz/1,000 sq ft
Application  Details Initial Application: Apply 0.8 oz. CytoGro in 1 to 2.5 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft
Monthly Application: Apply 0.4 oz. CytoGro in 1 to 2.5 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft
