Protect your lawn from grubs and other labeled insect pests with Imidacloprid 2F Grub Control Insecticide. This professional-strength liquid concentrate contains 21.8% imidacloprid and is designed to provide systemic, non-repellent insect control for lawns, trees, shrubs, and other approved landscape plants.
Imidacloprid 2F is primarily used as a preventative grub control product. Grubs are the larvae of June beetles and other beetles that can damage turf as they feed on grass roots. Applying imidacloprid before grubs begin feeding helps protect the root zone and reduce the potential for serious lawn damage.
This product can also be used for certain other labeled insect pests, including chinch bugs, mole crickets, emerald ash borers, and insects affecting trees and shrubs. Always identify the target pest and follow the current product label before applying.
Grubs are immature beetles that live beneath the soil surface and feed on grass roots. Their eggs are commonly laid in lawns from late spring through summer, and grub activity may increase after a mild winter.
For preventative grub control, apply Imidacloprid 2F before grubs begin actively feeding. Yard Mastery recommends applying it around mid-May, followed by immediate watering to move the product into the soil and root zone. Proper application timing, rainfall, irrigation, soil conditions, and grub pressure all affect performance.
Imidacloprid 2F may also be used for other labeled insect pests. Because application timing and rates vary by target pest, always consult the current product label before treatment.
Imidacloprid 2F can be used on the following labeled cool-season and warm-season turfgrasses:
Coverage is based on the recommended application rate of 0.6 oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
