Yard Mastery 0-0-7 Prodiamine is a granular pre-emergent designed to stop weeds in the lawn, such as crabgrass, poa annua, bittercress, chickweed, and henbit. 

  • Covers 6,000 sq ft (18 lb) - OR - 15,000 sq ft (45 lb)

Product Description:
Most DIYers use this product in spring to stop crabgrass. Crabgrass is an annual grassy weed that germinates in spring, grows lime green and large during summer, and then drops seeds towards the later fall. The following spring, the process starts all over again. This is why crabgrass is called an “annual” grassy weed. The good news is that crabgrass can be stopped very effectively using this product, which is formulated for use in DIY spreaders. It’s the same active ingredient the pros use. 

The best time to apply Prodiamine is in the spring or fall, as soil temperatures are between 55F to 70F. Each application of 3 lbs/1,000 sq ft provides about 3 months of pre-emergence protection.

Our recommendation for both cool and warm-season lawns is two applications in spring if the target is crabgrass. 

*Size options and coverage: 

  • (1) 18 lb bag = covers up to 6,000 sq ft
  • (1) 45 lb bag = covers up to 15,000 sq ft

Application Information:

DO NOT use Prodiamine if you are seeding or reseeding, as it will keep your seed from germinating.

This product should be watered in within 48 hours of application for best results. See the following table for the application rates we recommend.

Creeping Red Fescue

  • Maximum Rate Yearly: 4.7 pounds per 1,000 sq ft per year
Creeping Bentgrass

  • Maximum Rate Yearly: 4.0 pounds per 1,000 sq ft per year

 

Prodiamine can be used on established turfgrasses, golf courses (excluding putting greens), sod farms, and lawns.

Water-In  Instructions
