Put your cool-season lawn to bed the right way with the Yard Mastery Cool-Season Winterizer Pack. This late-fall pack combines 24-0-6 Flagship granular fertilizer with Humic12 liquid humic acid and Air-8 liquid aeration. It prepares Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and turf-type tall fescue to green up early and grow strong next spring.
A winterizer is simply the last fertilizer application of the year. It goes down after your lawn stops growing but before the ground freezes. The nitrogen isn’t used right away. It’s stored in the soil and becomes available as the snow melts, giving your lawn an early, fast green-up coming out of winter. Buying the products together as a pack saves 25% versus buying them separately.
When to apply: Use the Winterizer Pack if you’re still mowing your lawn at least every 10–12 days. If your lawn has already gone dormant and you’ve stopped mowing, it’s too late to use this pack this season.

What Is Included in the Cool-Season Winterizer Pack?
The Yard Mastery Cool-Season Winterizer Pack includes:
• One 18-pound bag of 24-0-6 Flagship fertilizer
• One quart of Humic12
• One quart of Air-8
• One hose-end sprayer top
• One empty quart bottle
• One exclusive Flagship magnet
The pack is designed for Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and turf-type tall fescue lawns.
What Does the Cool-Season Winterizer Pack Do for Your Lawn?
The pack helps prepare cool-season turf for winter and support an earlier spring green-up. Flagship provides a late-season nitrogen application, while Humic12 supports soil health and nutrient availability. Air-8 is designed to improve water penetration and create space in the soil for deeper root growth.
When Should You Apply the Cool-Season Winterizer Pack?
Use the bio-stimulants in the pack while your lawn is still actively growing and you are mowing approximately every 10–12 days. Apply Air-8 and Humic12 at 6 ounces per 1,000 square feet each. Apply Flagship at 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet after the lawn has stopped growing but before the ground freezes—typically near the final mowing of the season.
How Much Area Does the Cool-Season Winterizer Pack Cover?
The Flagship fertilizer covers approximately 6,000 square feet at the recommended rate. Each quart of Humic12 and Air-8 covers approximately 5,325 square feet, although both can be stretched to cover up to 6,000 square feet. Water the products into the soil within 24 hours with approximately ¼ inch of rainfall or irrigation, and do not apply if the soil is frozen.
