Product Description:
Not a wetting agent or polymer, Hydretain is a blend of hygroscopic humectants that convert soil moisture vapor into water droplets that plants can use. Without it, soil moisture evaporates.

What this product does is really incredible! Hydretain collects around grass roots and draws all the surrounding moisture right to them. This saves moisture loss to evaporation and can reduce your watering needs up to 50%. This is for lawns, landscapes, potted plants, and flowers, too!

This is a secret of the golf industry that is now available to homeowners like us and now it's available in easy to spread granular formulations.

*Size options and coverage: 

For an initial application, the recommended rate is 3lbs/1000 sq ft. That will last up to 3 months. If further coverage is needed, then the lower rate of 2.5lbs/1,000 can be used as a follow-up.

At the 3lbs/1,000 rate (initial rate), the bag coverages are as follows:

• 3 lb bag: covers up to 1,000 sq ft
• 15 lb bag: covers up to 5,000 sq ft 
• 40 lb bag: covers up to 13,333 sq ft

If another application is needed 80-90 days later, the rate of 2.5lbs/1,000 sq ft coverages are as follows:

• 3 lb bag: covers up to 1,200 sq ft
• 15 lb bag: covers up to 6,000 sq ft 
• 40 lb bag: covers up to 16,000 sq ft

This will extend the coverage up to 90 more days.

Note: This product is produced with chicken litter as a carrier. That does bring with it a strong smell of success. VERY strong. Some of us like it!

• Cool-Season Lawns - Kentucky Bluegrass, Turf Type Tall Fescue (all fescues), Ryegrass.
• Warm-Season Lawns - Bermuda, St Augustine, Zoysia, Centipede, Bahia.
