How do I apply GreeneStart fertilizer to my lawn?
For backpack or pump sprayer applications, mix 16 ounces of GreeneStart per 2 gallons of water and spray evenly over 1,000 square feet. The 16-ounce rate covers up to approximately 8,000 square feet per gallon.
Water GreeneStart into the soil within 24 hours with approximately ¼ inch of rainfall or irrigation. Do not apply to a saturated lawn, and rinse any product from sidewalks and driveways to help prevent staining.
Can GreeneStart be used for overseeding, seeding, and new sod?
Yes. GreeneStart can be applied directly to seed or to bare soil before installing sod. It is formulated to support seed germination and help new turf seedlings develop roots.
How often can GreeneStart be applied to the lawn?
For established lawns, GreeneStart is typically applied every 30 to 45 days during the growing season. It can be used on cool-season grasses such as Kentucky bluegrass, tall fescue, and ryegrass, as well as warm-season grasses including Bermuda, St. Augustine, zoysia, centipede, and Bahia.
Application timing and rates may vary based on grass type, weather, and lawn conditions. Always read and follow the current product label.
