Product Description:

Not a wetting agent or polymer, Hydretain is a blend of hygroscopic humectants that convert soil moisture vapor into water droplets that plants can use.

What this product does is really incredible! Hydretain literally sucks the humidity out of the air to bring that water down into your grass root system. Now what that means is that because you’re getting water sucked into the roots from the air, you can reduce the watering requirements of your lawn by up to 50% or more!

Hydretain is one of those secret ingredients that golf courses, towns, and municipalities use to save on their water bills! So why can't we DIYers save, too?

Application Information:

Apply Hydretain when soil moisture is present and water in immediately with a full ½” of water. May be applied with a backpack/pump sprayer or a hose-end sprayer and can be applied at any time during the growing season for cool and warm-season lawns.

Hydretain may be used with all grass types, including the following:

Cool-Season Lawns - Kentucky Bluegrass, Turf Type Tall Fescue (all fescues), Ryegrass.
Warm-Season Lawns - Bermuda, St Augustine, Zoysia, Centipede, Bahia.

Water-In Instructions

The first thing to note before applying liquid Hydretain to any lawn is that the grass being treated must be WET prior to application.

Liquid Hydretain® is not created to go on dry grass; instead, it is to be applied after a normal round of irrigation, watering, or rain.

Once the liquid Hydretain has been applied to the turf, it must be immediately watered in with ½” of water. Liquid Hydretain cannot be allowed to dry on the grass awaiting future rain or irrigation.
